Gas Leak Pressure Test in El Cajon
Happy Plumbing was called in to assess and resolve a potential gas leak after SDGE locked the customer’s gas meter in El Cajon. Our licensed technicians performed a complete pressure test after capping off three gas lines feeding the water heater, wall furnace, and stove. The pressure remained steady at 20 PSI for over 15 minutes, indicating no active leaks in the main system. The most likely cause was identified as old and faulty gas valves at the stove and water heater. Replacing the valves is strongly recommended, although it is not included in the service scope. We informed the client that permits and inspections are their responsibility. No warranty was provided for this diagnostic service.
